Day 22: More Patong Beach
Today we went to the beach again but only stayed there for a couple hours this time, we don’t want to beach ourselves out too quickly considering we have plenty of time. We went back to the hotel to relax for a while and then walked around the mall over here which is also very nice.
One thing that is very annoying about Thailand (pretty much the only thing though) is that walking on the streets, you are attempted to be sold everything. From products, taxis, suits, eating at their restaurants, getting a massage, etc. It gets real annoying.
We realized the best way to handle this is to ignore them and keep on walking. This works best. But then you have some people who will actually follow you, this one guy kept following us and I eventually had to scream at him. He definitely stopped after that.
Whats funny is that a couple other people saw me screaming at him and they tried to sell us shit also, so guess what? They got it even worse, I just had no patience at that point.
We are both very sore so tomorrow we plan on getting massages before heading to the beach. They are so cheap here.. the last time we got massages in the U.S. they were about $150 per person.
