Dammit! Why did I stop updating this? I was just reading it through it and realized that I don’t even care if anybody was reading this, but it was good I blogged because there were some things I had forgotten about. Well, after Bali, I was definitely too busy to blog and now I regret it a little. I am going to try to remember the rest of the trip in one post LOL but it will be hard - it’s the end of September and we got back in May lol.

Our flight to Bali was this morning. When it’s an international flight, it’s good to play it safe and be about at the airport about 2 hours before the flight. Well, we were having some technical difficulties with our alarm system and we ended up sleeping in. We woke up on our own about an HOUR BEFORE OUR FLIGHT DEPARTED. We were also not packed yet, because we planned on packing in the morning. Joe went online real quick to see what our options were if we missed the flight: the only option, we’d have to wait til tomorrow..which meant spending money for another night in Singapore, plus we already booked our nights in Bali. Then on top of that, it’d be $600 more in plane tickets because we wouldn’t be flying Air Asia.
Therefore, our morning was a little something like this scene..unfortunately it’s just the music ha but it’s the best I could find.

This is our last full day in Singapore… tomorrow we are heading to Bali, Indonesia.
Singapore has a good bird park as well, so we went there. When buying our zoo tickets yesterday, it was very very cheap to add the Bird Park to it as well (same company) so we figured why not. Well, the bird park here was very nice also, and different. The other place in Malaysia was actually an aviary where a lot of the birds fly around freely , and this was more of just a bird zoo. We did some shopping afterwards on Orchard Road and that concluded our Singapore trip.

We have heard good things about the Singapore Zoo so that’s where we went today. Here’s what’s weird about this zoo, though- there’s two different zoos, one park next to the other … one is open during the day, like a normal zoo but the other one is open only at night, from 7:30pm to midnight. How cool is that? I don’t think there are other zoos that do that.

Today we decided to go to Kuala Lumpur’s Bird Park. Apparently, it is the largest aviary in the world. As a matter of fact, [according to pics on their website] Bill Clinton was just there a few months ago, lol. That would have been funny to just see him walking around there.

Today we leave Cambodia for good and are off to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Why Malaysia, you may ask? Well, we both decided we wanted to add Bali, Indonesia to our trip, but discovered that it is very cheap to fly there from either Singapore or Malaysia. So we tried to decide which place to use as a gateway to Indonesia - but since both places are only like $15 to fly to, we figured, how about both? So we are in Malaysia for 2 nights and then off to Singapore for 3 nights.

This is what brings most people to Cambodia - what brought us here mainly - one of the world wonders, Angkor Wat. Although you can see Angkor Wat at any time of the day, it is recommended to go during sunrise, so that’s what we did. We were picked up by our driver at 5am, boy THAT was fun lol. It was dark and spooky when we got there, but tons of tourists were arriving as well.

Today involved just lots of sightseeing - seeing temples and more. This included the place where Tomb Raider was filmed. I forgot what the place was called technically, but whatever. It was really cool.

We left Phnom Penh today to go to Siem Reap. Most people take a bus or a car to get to Siem Reap. But I say, fuck that. It’s like a 4 hour drive and the roads and driving in this country is just horrible. We would have a great chance in getting in a car accident on the way there lol so we decided to fly - although not as cheap as ground transportation - still very cheap. What was really funny was that there were literally only 10 people on the plane, so it was a bit spooky being on a practically empty plane. It was also the shortest flight I’ve ever been on … only about 25 minutes !!
